Founder @ Enhancing Storytelling through Interactive Media
- Providing an innovative way for people to internalize data science
- Highlighting data-based stories
- Follow Business Leads
- Develop Software From August 2015 to Present (5 months) Media Co-Chair @ Managing the creation of each of VLAB's Event Graphics, Brochures, and Videos From August 2014 to Present (1 year 5 months) R&D Engineer | iOS and Android @ - Led the development of the Glean iOS application and implemented parts of the corresponding Android App. Used Xcode and Eclipse.
- Integrated Data Analytics into the iOS and Android Applications.
- Produced designs and managed freelance UI/UX designers and programmers for new product.
- Showcased the app as a demo driver at SXSW 2013 From February 2014 to August 2015 (1 year 7 months) Event Media & Business Research Volunteer @ - Put together the sold out season opener for VLAB's 2014-2015 Season in a team of seven volunteers by researching the field, reaching out to companies, vetting candidates, and advertising the event : Deep Learning | Intelligence from Big Data
- Worked heavily on the copy for the Deep Learning advertisement blurb
- Expanded my involvement in VLAB by creating infographics: Deep Learning and Satellite Imaging event brochures below From 2014 to 2014 (less than a year) Visualization and Animation Technician @ Under the Changing Places Group Professor Kent Larson and Graduate Student Sheng-Ying Pao, I produced a video visualization of a space augmented by pen-based movement. My visualizations gave the design team an understanding of the resolution needed to achieve the desired detail in the pen to microcontroller connection while demonstrating the concept to the public. From September 2012 to December 2012 (4 months) NASA Ames | Software Programmer @ Completed using Java, Matlab, and Python.
I programmed a test for data generated from molecular dynamics simulations from the Ames Supercomputer. The test determines whether a set of data is distributed as a Poisson distribution. The test suite generates a print out of the characterization along with a graphical representation of what it found. (20 hours/week) From June 2012 to August 2012 (3 months) New Media Innovation Team Intern @ Used NASA's Content Management System to generate NASA Art Space (http://www.nasa.gov/connect/artspace/), an outreach website for NASA Ames From June 2012 to August 2012 (3 months) Highlights for High Schools | Mathematics Teacher @ Designed and taught 5 math courses: probability, statistics, imaginary numbers, continuous random variables, and composition of functions to 8 different classrooms of 12 or more students at ITIS Fermi, a public high school in Mantua, Italy. (20 hours/week) From January 2012 to January 2012 (1 month) NASA Ames | Materials Characterization @ Summer 2010, 2011.
Characterized continuous growth and patterned nanofiber array chips.Conducted various electrochemistry experiments and microscopy: cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and electron, atomic force, magnetic force, and light microscopy, to characterize the degradation of carbon nanofibers. (40 hours/week) From June 2011 to August 2011 (3 months) N.A.S.A. Project Teacher's Aid @ New Approach to Self Achievement Project | Summer 2009. (40 hours/week)
Supervised 7th grade students, conducted morning tutoring and small group mathematics instruction, collaborated on final report, and completed managerial tasks requiring work with Microsoft Excel. This experience improved leadership skills and oral and written communication while resulting in more advanced Excel experience. From June 2009 to July 2009 (2 months) Science Internship Program Research Student @ Science Internship Program| Summer 2007. (40 hours/week)
Conducted self-devised research project: The Rate of Restenosis, A Cohort Study on the Rate and Cause of In-Stent and In-Graft Stenosis; viewed surgeries; conducted in-patient surveys; and shadowed the Emergency Room, Catheterization Lab, and Intensive Care Unit. From June 2007 to August 2007 (3 months)
