for web and mobile that launched in the North American real estate market. RESAAS is a
publicly traded company that has raised over $12 million.
● Grew the social platform to tens of thousands of licensed real estate agents who
engaged with the platform to communicate with other professionals in real time and to market
their brand and property listings to home buyers and sellers.
● Quantified product/market fit for user segments using cohort analysis and net promoter
scores to determine allocation of raised capital.
● Employed growth hacking tactics for several user acquisition strategies including organic
search, social media, paid advertising and referrals. Meticulously measured each stage of the user acquisition and conversion funnel and continuously optimized digital advertising to lower the user acquisition cost.
● Used A/B testing to determine which optimizations were statistically significant. Measured user behaviour, performed cohort analysis and targeted users with specific traits to acquire customers who were more likely to engage with the product longterm which resulted in doubling retention in 2 months.
● Led pitches to over one hundred investors and brokers, and an institutional investment firm, to raise $1.4 million. From May 2013 to March 2014 (11 months) VP of Engineering @ ● Responsible for performance, security and analytics across the web and mobile SaaS products and achieved a consistent APDEX of 0.99. The technology stack included HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, C# .NET, SQL, NoSQL, Git/SVN, and automated testing and deployment infrastructure with Jenkins.
● Designed and transitioned to a Kanban process to manage tasks and align incentives within the business and engineering teams. This enabled predictable frequent releases and company-wide visibility.
● Architected and built an automated Continuous Delivery system that moved the company from monthly to daily production deployments while simultaneously decreasing the risk and frequency of releasing defects.
● Transitioned from an on-premises software and deployment architecture to a cloud-based one hosted on Microsoft Azure in 3 months. This increased the speed and scalability of the product while decreasing overall operational costs.
