I first got into coding from one of those “Teach Yourself!” books back when I was 13, which led to a love for web dev that persisted through the past 10+ years. I know and love the full-stack, most particularly using Javascript and Backbone.js, Ruby and Rails. For databasing, I've used both postgreSQL and MySQL. In the past, I've done work in more strict-typed languages like Java, C, and even made a full blown game in Assembly--1500 lines of code, just for a platformer! And HTML/CSS is where I got my start; laying out and styling a site still remains one of my favorite tasks.
Due to my prior background as a trader at a large investment bank, I'm hard-working and detail-oriented in a way few others are, and I would love for a chance to apply myself in a dynamic (and fun!) team.
