Software Engineering Intern @ Over summer I was working as part of a team working on Perimeta development. Perimeta is Metaswitch's Session Border Controller (SBC) used to control signalling and media traffic in VoIP networks. Since working for Metaswitch I have written product code in C and python and used XML, JSON and SQL languages to manipulate and store data. Prior to working this I had little to no experience in using most of these. From July 2015 to September 2015 (3 months) Enfield, United KingdomPrivate Tutor @ For just over two years I worked as a private tutor based in Farnborough, tutoring A-level and GCSE maths, physics and chemistry. My public profile is available at https://www.firsttutors.com/uk/tutor/ryan.physics.maths.chemistry - it is 'inactive' as I am not currently offering tutoring services but I may do so when I have time in the near future. If you would like to enquire about tutoring feel free to message me! From December 2012 to April 2015 (2 years 5 months) NERC Research Experience Placement @ I worked in UEA's Environmental Sciences department on a 10-week placement. During this time my project was to automate a gas extraction line designed to extract oxygen and argon from the mixture of gases dissolved in seawater, whilst minimising additional fractioning of oxygen isotopes. To do this I used NI Labview to control valves and heating coils based on temperature and pressure gauge readings. The new system allows up to six samples to be extracted in series with minimal user interaction.
