John Sipple has extensive experience in applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning. He has been a Group Signal Detachment Commander (GSD) at First Special Forces Group (Airborne), US Army from August 2001 to September 2003 (2 years 2 months). In Ft. Lewis, Washington, he served as a Signal Officer at US Army Signal Corps from January 1996 to July 2000 (4 years 7 months). As a Lieutenant Commander, Navy Reserve at US Navy, he was responsible for developing AI concepts for DoD stakeholders. He also briefed senior leaders on strategic implications of AI and provided design leadership for various AI development efforts in the DoD. Additionally, he was Chief Scientist at Sphere of Influence from 2010 to April 2016 (6 years).He was also a Staff Software Engineer (Machine Learning) at Google from September 2003 to November 2010 (7 years 3 months).
