Senior Director- Specialty Retail @ Responsible for the management of alternative revenue steams to include specialty leasing and other business development, as necessary. Responsible for the creative design and installation of Retail Merchandising Units for the portfolio as well as managing the capital expenditure process associated with such programs. Oversees productivity, occupancy, performances and presentation of Specialty Leasing for assigned shopping centers. Assists the regional specialty retail managers in developing the field teams in education, specialty leasing, lead generation, oral negotiation, expense control and visual merchandising. Ultimately accountable for net income and management of specialty leasing program with her team of regional specialty retail managers and assistant general managers at over 96 regional shopping center properties across the United States. From February 1998 to Present (17 years 8 months) Chattanooga, Tennessee AreaSpecialty Retail Manager- Third Party @ Mainstreet Retail- Shoppes at Waccamaw- Third Party Specialty Leasing Mangement. Specific responsibilities included canvassing/prospecting the regional market as well as researching potential concepts to generate new leads, effectively negotiating terms of tenancy with operators, securing proper approvals and documentation, assisting with set-up of cart/kiosk, and participating in collection of rent. Hands on Visual Merchandising and training with tenants was part of the daily responsibility.
