This experience gave Gene a good understanding of the challenges of hyper growth, and he was able to apply this knowledge to help Solar Velocity, a company he worked for for eight years, achieve consistent year-over-year growth. He also worked with Intellinet, a company that supplied order management and collaboration tools, during part of his career as sales representative. He developing and delivered sales strategies, analyzed and interpretation of business data, handled project negotiations, prepared presentation materials to attract clients, and conducted field tests and project studies. Gene also acted as a "senior consultant" for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for two years, which involved all phases of application development, from development to design to interpretation. In his previous job, Gene was responsible for all aspects of project management, from proposal development to project management in the contracting phase.

Gene Hammett has a personal background in leadership development, coaching, and listening. He has been working in the technical industry of Georgia Institute of Technology as a software engineer and consultant. Hammett then moved on to Newfield Network-Leadership Development, where he took the leadership development course. After completing the course, he was invited to lead a team of trainers.Hammett then moved on to Institute in Generative Leadership where he developed leadership skills. He then moved on to the Newfield Certified Coach program, where he had the opportunity to coach leaders intransformative leadership. Hammett holds this certification from the Institute in Generative Leadership.Hammett is presently a certified coach, leader development instructor, and transformational leadership instructor. He has also worked withfor many years as a consultant.
