Van Hofwegen has also previously worked as a Fellow at theJohn F. Kennedy Center for the Study of Human Rights at the University of Chicago. Survivingelve year of the Clinton presidency and the terrorist attacks on 9/11, Frans Van Hofwegen is one of the few expressionists in the United States who is also interested in the human rights field.Van Hofwegen believes that, through his work in the human rights field, he has been able to see first-hand the negative effects of globalization and the resulting rise in inequality. He believes that human rights work is the only way to stop these negative Effects.
