💼 Past Experience

Eric Monacelli graduated from Brown University with a B.S. in Counseling and Human Resources in 1998. Aftergraduating, he worked as a research assistant at State University of New York at Buffalo from 2004-2004. From there, he obtained a teaching/resident assistant position at Johns Hopkins University from September 2003-July 2004. Monacelli then worked as a research assistant at The Center School from September 2003-July 2004.Since his early entrance into the professional world, Monacelli’s focus has been on marketing and communications. He has worked as a community strategist at Naughty Dog from September 2011-October 2015 in Santa Monica, CA. Monacelli has also been a Director of Production at Marvel Entertainment in Glendale, CA for 2 years. Additionally, he has been a Senior Producer at Marvel Entertainment from April 2017-January 2019. In his spare time he enjoys spending his mornings playing softball and writing.

Eric Monacelli's education has come in the form of three degrees: a B.A. in English and American Literature from New York University in 2000, a M.A. in American Studies from Fordham University in 2003, and a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from Columbia University in 2006.Eric Monacelli's professional experience in academia has also included a time spent at Columbia University as a student, where he was a 2002 honorary fellow. He has also worked as a research associate at Columbia University's Department of English Language and Literatures, as a teaching assistant and research associate at Fordham University, and as a research associate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.In 2006, Eric Monacelli became a professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he taught jeans-making and communication. He has since retired from his teaching position, but continues to teach English as a second language and jeans-making.
