I joined Change.org to build out their HR and Recruiting function and then handed over the reins once built out. During my tenure, we launched the most generous parental leave benefit of all U.S. companies - only to be later trumped by Netflix. Big ups to Netflix :) From June 2014 to February 2015 (9 months) San FranciscoDirector, Human Resources @ I led the HRBP team at Twitter and scaled talent practices at the company, pre & post IPO. Our mission was to build the best place you've ever worked at. By partnering with the business, we built our feedback & talent process, behavioral interviewing approach, employee & manager playbooks, career ladders, leadership development matrices, people dashboard, manager integration programs ("flocks"), M&A integration aproach, and employee relations (ER) model. In 2013, Twitter was named the #1 tech company to work for by Glassdoor (#2 overall).
What else: I led the HR M&A diligence & integration function and partnered on the Vine, Crashlytics, Bluefin, and MoPub acquisitions & integrations. I built the newly minted ER function as well as various other buzzwords and catch-phrases. I also saved a bunch of money switching to Geico. From September 2011 to June 2014 (2 years 10 months) San FranciscoDirector, Human Resources @ Led WW HR for the Global Online, Origin.com, Global Media Sales, Pogo.com, and North American Publishing organizations. Led U.S. HR for Playfish & Centerscore Mobile. Led a bunch of fun HR initiatives and was lucky to dive deep on both small and large acquisitions and subsequent integrations. Video games = fun. From July 2007 to September 2011 (4 years 3 months) HR Consultant @ Recruited back as part of another session of pattern bargaining. Human Resources Generalist for Union (USW) & Non-Union Production departments in Shell's primary West Coast site. From March 2006 to July 2007 (1 year 5 months) HR Manager @ Human Resources Generalist for Universal Studios Home Entertainment and Physical Production divisions. Led HR change management initiatives stemming from GE acquiring Universal Pictures. From February 2005 to February 2006 (1 year 1 month) Sr. HR Analyst @ Human Resources Generalist for three global (including a joint venture) and U.S. client groups. First day on the job was the first day of pattern bargaining with the USW. What an eye opener! Half-way through this role, I transferred to the HQ in Houston and project managed a rollout of SAP HR.
