💼 Past Experience

There are many years of sales experience under Salim Arkuch’s belt. He began his professional life as a salesman at his previous company, Sabre Corporation, where he worked for fourteen years. A sales engineer at MicroStrategy, Arkuch went on to have a significant impact on the company as he helped implement new sales strategies and ensure quality customer experience. His time at MicroStrategy also gave him the opportunity to contribute to a team of sales professionals in Latin America and the Caribbean. There, Arkuch was responsible for creating and managing marketing channels both within the company and for external clients. As a result, he was able to develop a strong personal relationship with his clients and help them achieve success.In February 2012, Salim Arkuch was elected Vice President, Sales and Business Development at Mexico Tourism Board. While at Mexico Tourism Board, Arkuch is responsible for overall sales and marketing efforts for the tourist board. In this role, he will work with other marketing forces within the board to improve the organization’s marketing initiatives. As a result, he will also be in charge of developing new marketing strategies for the board and its clients. Additionally, Arkuch is also responsible for Villa de las Américas, the tourist board’s main amusement park. He is jointly responsible with the Director of Sales and Marketing at Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and the Manager of Sales Promotion at Sabre Travel Network.In addition to his work experience at Mexico Tourism Board, Arkuch has also worked at Fairmont Hotels and Resorts for eight years. There, he was the director of sales and marketing for the company’s Latin American and Caribbean division. As part of this role, he was responsible for managing marketing channels for bothinternal and external clients. Additionally, he was in charge of developing and executing marketing strategies for the company’s five hotels in Mexico and of marketing the company’s new resorts located in the country.The six years Salim Arkuch spent at Sabre Corporation were productive in terms of his cultural and business knowledge. There, he had the opportunity to work with a wide array of customers and clients in a variety of industries. He was able to develop strong relationships with these customers and help them achieve success. Salim Arkuch has been a part of the sales team at Sabre Corporation for over fifteen years and has acquired a great deal of technical and business knowledge. He has a degree in Business Administration from the Lebanese University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston.

Salim Arkuch's educational background and work readiness:Salim Arkuch has a Certificate of Practical French from the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris. From September 1995 to September 1998, he received his Global MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He then attended the International Business Management program at Tecnológico de Monterrey from September 1998 to September 1999. Subsequently, he obtained his B.S. Industrial and Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey in September 1995. From September 1993 to September 1995, he further completed his International Baccalaureate, Economics, Physics, Mathematics from Pearson College in UWC.In order to be prepared for his new role as a manager, Salim Arkuch completes a course in Advanced Business Ethics at the Tecnológico de Monterrey Graduate School of Management. Salim Arkuch is also currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Monterrey in the field of International Business and Management.
