Prof. Arnab K. Laha's Educational Background and Work readinessProf. Arnab K. Laha has a B.Stat from Indian Statistical Institute (January 1987). He then obtained a M.Stat from Indian Statistical Institute (January 1999). After a year of study, he obtained a Ph.D. from Indian Statistical Institute (January 1999).Prof. Laha has also spent time teaching at Hindi High School in Kolkata from January 1975 to January 1987. After that, he joined the faculty of the Indian Open University (IOG) inJanuary 1987. He has been Professor of Statistics and Business Administration there since then.Prof. Laha is highly skilled in data analysis, Statistics and Business Administration. He has also authored several books.perty Prof. Laha is qualifications-checked and has passed the interview and test held by the Association of Indian Business Schools (AIBS) and the Federation of Indian Councils of Social Science Education (FICSE).

Prof Arnab K. Laha's academic activities:The present research has been focused on the areas of business analytics and business risk management, as well as time series analysis, financial modeling, and predictive modeling. In addition, there have also been some works on the areas of survivorship, k-means clustering, and large-scale data analysis. Out of these, the focus has been mainly in the area of business risk management and business analytics.A few years ago, Prof.Laha also did a piece on the Indian Portal for Statistical Computing (Poster session, Indian Statistical Congress, Hyderabad, India, Dec.2005). Prof.Laha is also the current Vice- President (Technical Training Leader, Analytics CoE) at Genpact from January 2007 to January 2008.
