He has been with technology and management companies since he joined HCL Technologies in January 1990. He held incumbents for a period of three years, during which time he scaled HCL technology to a division with over 100 employees.Over the next ten years, Patrick Maes held various leadership positions in the company. He moved up through the ranks at HCL Technologies, becoming CEO in 2016. Patrick Maes, also known as Patrick Maes the Painter, was born on August 21st, 1977, in Antwerp, Belgium. He graduated from the University of Antwerp with a degree in Fine Arts in 2001. From 2001 to 2006, he studied at the Catholic University of Louvain, where he earned his Master's degree in 2006. Subsequently, he moved to Ghent, Belgium, where he continued his studies at the University of Ghent, earning his Doctorate in Art in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, Patrick Maes lived and worked in Rome, Italy.Patrick Maes's professional career as a painter began in 2006, when he began working as a Painter in the Monotype Department of the Catholic University of Louvain. He has since exhibited his artwork in Belgium, Italy, and Spain.
