Lawrence was born and raised in New York City. When he was younger, he loved spending time in his grandparents house in Freehold, NJ. Lawrence moved to Chicago at the age of 18 and got his start in the banking industry by working at JL Fenton, a local independent bank.He quickly migrated up the ladder at JL Fenton, eventually becoming Regional Manager-Mortgage Banking at the company. There, he increased the number of loans originated and closed by 50%, while also expanding the company’s customer base. In 2006, Lawrence was named Regional Manager-Mortgage at Wells Fargo and led the company’s team of mortgage advisors to become the industry leader. Wells Fargo then sold the company to JPMorgan Chase in September 2006.At JPMorgan Chase, Lawrence was responsible for the conception and early development of the virtual banking product, initiated and led the adoption of the vertical marketing program, and directed business development for the company’s products and services. He was also responsible for the development and marketing of the company’s other products and services, including, but not limited to, retail lending, corporate lending, and insurance. Lawrence is a widely respected member of his industry and has been cited as a leader in his field by numerous publications. He currently holds the Head of National Sales Administration-Chase Bank designation and is a Regional Senior Vice President- Mortgage Banking at JPMorgan Chase.
