Category Manager/Buyer - Multivitamins & Minerals @ • Sets, manages and executes the strategic direction for Multivitamins & Minerals category to include both Vitamin Shoppe Brand and national branded product. • Ensures that category strategy is in line with Company’s Critical Success Factors and competitive advantages. • Responsible for identifying, developing and launching new Vitamin Shoppe brand product, along with effectively devising & managing category quantitative plans and inventory productivity targets in order to implement strategic initiatives that drive the most advantageous results. • Controls Multivitamins & Minerals category assortment to ensure that Vitamin Shoppe is offering the most current assortment supporting the Company’s strategy, and also identifies the appropriate changes to the Vitamin Shoppe Brand line of products to maximize the category’s margin capture and support of the Vitamin Shoppe brand. • Develops and executes monthly promotional tactics, including planning 6 month rolling overarching promotional strategy & plans forecasted lift from promotions, analyzes actual results and reports on level of success. • Works with Pricing team to determine competitive position of products via multiple channels against various categories of competition. • Cultivates, sustains and is the primary owner of vendor relationships, including numerous levels of cost, pricing, promotion and contractual negotiations on an ongoing basis. • Develops and executes Multivitamin & Minerals category plans, as well as builds and communicates this category intelligence throughout the organization. • Partners with other areas of the Company to support category strategies and the needs of the business, and also stays current on industry trends and the competitive landscape.
