Koka Sexton has been involved in the marketing industry for over 10 years, starting as a business development representative at Dantz Development from 1999 to 2002, and then working as an advisor at Opensense in San Francisco Bay Area from January 2015 to August 2016. In my tenure, I have led a team of talented writers, editors, and content marketing managers that focused on B2B content to drive lead generation for the Slack sales team and customer acquisition team. I have also played a significant role in developing the strategy for audience-based content to get teams outside of IT and Development understanding the value of the platform, as well asIntegrated campaigns and customer stories/ Cases studies.In my most recent role, I was a lead generation and market research advisor at Slack from March 2018 to 2019 in San Francisco Bay Area. As a result, I was able to help developed the initial channel plan that grew to a large source of revenue. Additionally, I was also a member marketing and communications advisor at LinkedIn from January 2015 to August 2016 in San Francisco Bay Area, and lead pre and post campaign analysis, performance tracking and reporting for the purpose of determining progress against goals and strategy alignment. In my current role, I am responsible for creating compelling content and experiences that educate and engage our Members, and does so across a mix of contexts while consistently outperforming our benchmarks and expectations.
