I am an administrative assistant located in the San Francisco Bay Area for Achieva College Prep since October 2000. My first duty was working at the front desk of the school, where I would greet and impromptu answer phone calls. I then went on to work at Choulos, Choulos & Wyle, where I worked as a front desk receptionist from April 2002 to April 2004. While at Choulos, I was responsible for all aspects of the customer service department, from contacting customers through email, phone, or in-person, to providing customer service during their visits to the school.I then moved on to work at Daly City/Colma Chamber of Commerce, where I worked as an administrative intern from March 1999 to June 1999. I was also responsible for various tasks related to the Chamber’s business-related activities, such as managing the desk, communicating with customers, and responsible for many aspects of the office’s operations.In January 2018,BuildingConnected was acquired by Autodesk. I then became the head of workplace Ops, which is the role I currently hold at Achieva College Prep. My responsibilities include managing the backstage areas of the school, overseeing all workplace operations, and leading all communication functions. I also have a degree in business administration from San Francisco State University.I have worked with multiple different types of organizations, including executive level businesses, marketing teams, and product teams. I have also had the opportunity to work with differenttypes of clients, including startup businesses, major industry icons, and even international governments. My greatest satisfaction has come from my ability to effectively manage and communicate with my executives, as well as providing support and guidance for their initiatives.Overall, I would say that working as an Administrative Assistant has been a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a career in this area. I thrive in working with deadlines and manage complex calendars well, which has helped me stay on track with multiple projects.
