About Julie Decker

💼 Past Experience

Julie Decker holds a B.S. from the Ohio State University in electrical engineering and computer science. She then earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in law. Decker started her prosecutorial career in the small town of Wadsworth, Ohio. After a few years of government work, she moved to the Twin Cities inMinnesota to become an Associate Deputy Attorney General in the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office. From there, she moved to Washington, D.C., where she was an Assistant Attorney General in the Federal Bureau of Investigation for about three years. There, she gained experience working on complex copyright issues and the antitrust investigation into Wal-Mart. She left government after that to become the Senior Vice President of Talent Acquisition at Medtronic.At Medtronic, she is responsible for managing and assessing the talent needs of the Medical Devices Industry. She chairs the Talent Acquisition Strategy Committee, which oversees the development and execution of talent acquisition plans. She also serves as a mentor to future employees. Decker also oversees theMedtronic’s technology transfer program.Her past jobs have included:- Talent Acquisition Consultant/ Talent Acquisition Leader at Good People, Inc. from April 1999 to August 2003- Area Human Resources Manager at Keane from January 1993 to January 1996- Director of Recruiting at Systems Groups Inc./RCM Technologies from January 1997 to January1999- Senior Recruiting Consultant at ev3 from May 2008 to November 2008- Recruiting Manager (contract through KornFerry) at Novartis from September 2003 to September 2006- Sr. Recruiter - Contract at Best Buy from June 2003 to August 2003
