I curated and produced sp[a]ce gallery's 5th exhibition, SPATIAL REALITY, which featured over 30 artists working in virtual and augmented reality technologies (VR/AR). The show is the most comprehensive display of XR art on the planet, running from Oct. 6 - 28. Curator & Programmer, Tech Zone at DesignerCon from June 2018 to November 2018 (6 months) in Anaheim, California. As part of DesignerCon's expansion to Anaheim, I'm responsible for curating and programming the Tech Zone, a dedicated section of the convention focused on the intersection of art and technology. Work in the inaugural 2018 convention included art from the Spatial Reality XR art show, VR art creation tool demos, Hado, and a day-long panel series. Jesse Damiani is aoriginally from Nashville, Tennessee. He recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and a Master of Fine Arts. He has worked as an assistant editor and writer at a number of publications, most notably at The New Yorker, where he was a senior writer for six years.Jesse Damiani has been very active in the writing community for many years. He has worked as the artistic director for the Nashville Playwrights’ Workshop and has performed as a playwright and dramaturg at the University of Tennessee-Martin, in Knoxville. He also directed the play "The Umbrella Letter" at the Playwrights’ Workshop in 2013.He is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he is researching writing accusations and the media.
