He is currently the senior vice president of brand partnerships at MediaLink, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Comcast. From June 2005 to August 2005, he was a marketing/sales professional at Live Nation Entertainment. He led brainstorms, idea development and presentation delivery in response to global and national client asks, overseeing and guide Select teams of creatives and strategists for each project that spanned massive online and off-line (festival, concert, custom) events. In addition, he collaborated with Account Management leadership to grow existing client business by auditing current deals and developing new communications strategies and creative solutions. He also developed proactive packages based on the intersection of consumer experience, client objectives, Live Nation assets, and potential new business opportunities leveraging deep industry relationships. He founded “Soundcheck”, an initiative designed to position Live Nation as a creative resource and strategic partner to clients through collaborative informational and brainstorming meetings with creative and strategy leads. He built and structured a $27MM international B2B deal with major technology solutions provider in 2016 for 2017-2019. Jason also built a team of nine across creative, design, strategy, and business disciplines. In December 2013, he was named VP, Group Director & Business Lead - Marketing Solutions at Live Nation Entertainment. Jason proactively sold and executed programs like Best Day of Your Life, Hotel Thrillist, and Taco Knockout, integrating brands both online and offline. He also created sales material for full-funnel selling strategy, which is aimed at driving incremental revenue for Thrillist by integrating content and commerce initiatives to lift brand KPIs in awareness, consideration, purchase intent and conversion/action. Additionally, he created and pitched annual “Looking Ahead” deck, highlighting the best of the previous year, and exciting clients for the future. In April 2016, Jason increased his role to Director, Advertiser Solutions at Thrillist Media Group. He also served as the director of sales marketing for social sales strategy and new products at Yahoo! from February 2010 to March 2011. In March 2012, he was promoted to Senior Social Advertising Solutions Manager. He currently specializes in social sales tactics for the Y! Sports and Y! Finance properties, key Tentpole and Anchor Events such as the Olympics, the 2012 Elections, and March Madness,David S. Hammerstein's production arm. Schulweis also currently offers strategic consulting services to brands for social marketing efforts.
Jason Schulweis has a B.A. from the University of Michigan in psychology and political science. Jason then went on to complete his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned his M.A. in 2007. In his time at Berkeley, Jason began his work career as an assistant professor of psychology and political science at the University of Michigan. From there, he continued his work career as an assistant professor at the University of California, Davis, from 2013-2018. While at UC Davis, Jason also completed his Ph.D. in 2018.While at UC Davis, Jason commenced his work on developing a research program in anger and conflict in social movements.
