Ivo is a Sr. Infrastructure Analyst who is interested in innovation and the latest technologies. Ivo graduated at Hogeschool Zuyd – Network Infrastructure Design with a Bachelor degree. During these studies the primary focus was on Business Management, Microsoft and Cisco. Also other topics and technologies like economics, Linux and Citrix were part of the daily routine. After graduating Ivo started out at Sogeti. Here Ivo had the privilege of working with different customers on different projects with different kinds of technologies. However Ivo’s interests in Microsoft technologies drove him to search for job opportunities in this area. Thus currently Ivo is working at Avanade, the #1 Microsoft partner worldwide. At Avanade he was challenged on a whole new level. The design was setup by translating customer en developer needs to a physical/virtual infrastructure. The design included several technologies like IIS, SQL, Visual studio, ESB & entity framework. From November 2011 to May 2014 (2 years 7 months) Field Engineer @ In his free time Ivo is working as a freelance contractor. As such UPC hired Ivo to work as a B2B and B2C field engineer. To fullfill his role he had to follow a internship to upgrade his knowledge. After this internship he was ready to resolve issues regarding internet, television and telephone (techinical) failures. During this time he gained a wide knowledge on DTV, CATV, CMTS, Euro docsis (1,2,3), modem infrastructures and interactive television. From April 2013 to December 2013 (9 months) Eindhoven Area, NetherlandsBusiness course Ohio University @ As to get a kickstart to his career Sogeti send Ivo on a business course to Ohio university, Athens in the United States. During his time here, Ivo was required to work in teams to resolve many varrying issues at hand. The core of the whole business course was to improve on several softskills. From December 2011 to December 2011 (1 month) Internship Performance Management @ In order to graduate for his Bachelor (HBO) Network Infrastructue Design in Heerlen, Ivo followed an internship at Simac ICT Nederland BV. Simac is a big IT consultantacy/service delivery company in the southern parts of the Netherlands. The assignment at hand was to research some degrading performance issues regarding Citrix XenApp and XenServer servers. During the course of time newly placed servers would degrade in performance. But because of the complexity of some customer networks it was verry hard to get a grip as to why the performance would degrade. To find the underlying issue Ivo set out to find some tools as to get more insight as to why these performance issues would play up. Finally after testing more then 20 tools he found his awnser in a tool allready available by Citrix themselves. It was Citrix EdgeSight. The only real tool (of 20+ tested tools) that could operate on many different and complex levels of the several IT infrastructures. As a bonus to his assignment he also made sure Citrix EdgeSight was integrated into daily business and IT management routines, to make sure they could control possible performance issues before they would make a great impact. From February 2011 to August 2011 (7 months) Eindhoven Area, Netherlandswarehouse worker/ Warehouse overseer (Magazijn medewerker/opzichter) @ Most of the time Ivo was working as a warehouse worker on saterdays and on thusday/firday evenings. This included driving around with a fork-lift. When the original warehouse overseer was sick, or absent Ivo was given the responsibility of warehouse overseer. From 2008 to 2011 (3 years) Internship @ Graduation internship. In this internship Ivo migrated the servicedesk to a new helpdesk system using SIM3 methodology. A migration to a new application to be able to report incidents/issues was also part of the job. The new application was http based. This way every device in use in the network is able to use it.
