By pairing mentees with leading industry figures, they will be offered advice, counsel and guidance in their areas of specialism. From June 2015 to Present (7 months) Commercial Account Director @ I was headhunted by BT to be an integral member of the BT Sport Commercial team. On joining we undertook a review of the potential business across the sectors of pubs, hotels, bookmakers, offshore and leisure and developed a clear vision of how we could operate in a market dominated by Sky TV. The focus also extended to how I could create a successful and effective challenger brand within the Group sectors with a compelling sales story. The strategy needed to make us distinctive, competitive, and deliver a compelling commercial performance. I had to engage the wider BT businesses that were unfamiliar with the pay TV market and within BT Sport led a strong performance management culture with the right people that focused on profit, relationships and delivering tangible results that would justify BT’s massive investment in sport TV. I developed an extensive network at all levels of our Customers’ businesses, particularly at board level, in order to reach the key decision making stakeholders. Our success was demonstrated within 2 years when we achieved a 26% greater footprint than Sky and we were operating in over 24,000 commercial premises From March 2013 to Present (2 years 10 months) London, United KingdomAccount Director @ Having joined Sky as a NAM, I was promoted to Senior NAM within 18 months and 6 months later I was promoted to Account Director. As Account Director I had leadership of the national pub company accounts and was accountable for the delivery of £30 million of Sky Business Revenue. I led the planning and direction of sales and marketing collateral for major pub groups including quality drive campaigns. The accounts included M&B, Greene King, Spirit and JD Wetherspoons. I was responsible for maintaining board level relationships and maximising sector business opportunities through targeting potential new customers From October 2006 to March 2013 (6 years 6 months) Business Relationship Manager @ I joined Punch Taverns as a Business Relationship Manager and took on an underperforming area of 60 pubs that I had P&L responsibility for, with a turnover of £3.3m that encompassed Shropshire, part of the Midlands, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. This role required me to demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong business acumen in order to achieve growth in all areas of income and profit. The area had been operating 10% below budget and through a strong focus on the management of Lessee recruitment and lettings, tie compliance, investing £2m in capital developments (achieving an average ROI of 25%), and building strong relationship, I grew the profitability of the area like for like by 5%. From March 2005 to October 2006 (1 year 8 months) Business Development Manager @ Business Development Manager - I was responsible for creating and implementing a strategy to develop and maximise all income streams from an estate of 57 leased and tenanted outlets, firstly in London and then in Wales, with a turnover in excess of £3million and accountable for delivering agreed annual budgets. Growth of 7%, 99.6% cash collection, and 100% letting achieved. Within the Operations team I was also appointed as a Mentor to new Business Development Managers and worked with HR to manage their progress and success. Area Sales Manager - I was responsible for 150 outlets. The primary focus was on non-beer sales development whilst also managing margins of other key brands. Development of promotional activity and utilising this effectively to gain the most effective results were key drivers in the role. From June 1999 to March 2005 (5 years 10 months) General Manager @ General Manager and Assistant manager of large West End London sites such as Soho, Marylebone, Covent Garden and then Hampstead with turnovers in excess of £1 million. Focused on creating and delivering excellent customer service within a strong brand identity. Ensuring achievement of targets through driving sales, controlling costs and hitting budgetary targets. Training and developing a young team and motivating them to provide the best service and to be proud of the team they were part of. From March 1997 to June 1999 (2 years 4 months) General Manager @ I joined as an Assistant Manager and was promoted to General Manager of Café Rouge in Crouch End within 6 months and the site had an annual turnover of £400,000. I turned round a poor performing site that was losing £3000 per month, within 3 months it became profitable again. I recruited a new team to provide the necessary support to deliver the results of increased sales and profitability. From May 1995 to March 1997 (1 year 11 months) BA Hons, English Literature @ Middlesex University From 1992 to 1995 GCSE's and A Levels @ Pershore High School, Worcestershire From 1984 to 1991 Emma Causer is skilled in: Pubs, Channel, New Business Development, Sales Targets, Account Management, Delivering Results, Organised, Business Relationship Management, B2B, Organisational Skills, Team Leadership, Digital Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Integrated Marketing
