Elham Sajed earned her B.A. in Psychology from McGill University in 2002. After graduating, she worked as a Clinical Psychologist/Supervisor at McAlister Institute for Treatment & Education from 2002-2002. There, she worked with individuals withmental health conditions, addicted people, and young adults. She also developed and implemented treatment plans for the mental health conditions of individuals with Addictions, Mental Illness, and Depression. Elham Sajed is skilled in Psychological Assessment and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She also has experience with mindfulness, anger management, and CBT. Additionally, she has experience with family therapy, crisis Intervention, mental health counseling, and psychotherapy. In addition, she is skilled in dual diagnosis and adolescents.

Before coming to McAlister Institute, Elham Sajed held the positions of Recruiter and Co-Director at The Psychiatric Institute, Inc., a mental health treatment center in Maryland. There, she worked with individuals with a variety of diagnoses and emotional experience levels. She also worked as a therapist in outpatient mental health clinics and outpatient mental health rehabilitation facilities. As a supervisor, Elham Sajed was responsible for the professional and technical performance of counselors and therapists working in the field of mental health treatment.Elham Sajed holds a B.S. in Psychology from Imam Sajed University in 1971. She then received a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Regent University in 1998. After receiving her Master's degree, Elham Sajed worked as a therapist in private, religious, and therapeutic groups. In 2000, she became a Licensed Clinical Supervisor.Since coming to McAlister Institute as a Licensed Clinical Supervisor, Elham Sajed has trained and supervised counselors and therapists working in the field of mental health treatment. She has also authored and edited several books in the field of mental health treatment. Additionally, she has guest-edited several journals in the field of mental health treatment. Elham Sajed is currently a fellow in the American Psychological Association (APA) and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
