Software Engineer @ Building some amazing things for Dropbox infrastructure! From March 2015 to Present (10 months) San Francisco Bay AreaSenior Software Engineering Lead @ Leads a team of engineers to develop the next-generation telephony standards for Windows Phone. This includes developing the cellular stack (both voice and data pipelines) between the OS and the modem. My team has enabled latest 3GPP/3GPP2 standards, such as voice-over-LTE (VoLTE), IR-94, WiFi-calling via ePDG and dual-SIM LTE. My responsibilities include architecture, working with several partners both internally and externally to plan and develop features/schedules, people development, staffing, issue triaging, branch-management…etc. From April 2014 to March 2015 (1 year) Senior Software Development Engineer @ Designed and developed several connectivity features for Windows Phone OS over 4 major releases and several updates. Highlighted projects include: • Telephony standards enablement for Windows Phone. This includes enabling 3GPP/3GPP2 standards such as CDMA, LTE, dual-SIM, voice/video over LTE (VoLTE/ViLTE)…etc. • Internet Sharing (a.k.a., Mobile-Hotspot). This includes enabling other devices to use phone’s cellular data connection over WiFi. • Mobile-Operator (MO) commercialization work for Windows Phone. This includes developing OS features/customizations to meet each MO requirements worldwide, such as Sprint’s OMA-DM provisioning or Verizon’s special VoLTE behavior. • OS update throttling. This includes controlling OS update rollouts worldwide. • Internal tools. This includes tools related to remote debugging/troubleshooting.
