💼 Past Experience

Previously, Agata Lo Tauro held various teaching positions, most notably as a Professor/Professoress at the National and Higher Secondary School of Aristotle (MIUR), where she has been teaching since 2006 and DDMsince 2006. She has also been a Research Associate and a Research Fellow at the national Academy of Sciences (France), and a visiting scientist at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris).Agata Lo Tauro’s research interests involve digital learning, project management and teaching. In her previous teaching positions, she has focused on teaching students how to use digital tools and software to improve their learning. Her teaching activities also include providing hands-on Neuromuscularhealthy teaching and learning experiences in her classrooms.As an Ambassador and a professional mentor, Agata Lo Tauro provides training to young professionals in the field of e-learning. She has also developed and lectured on the use of digital tools in education, project management and learning.Since being appointed as the President of the Italian Society of E-Learning in 2018, Agata Lo Tauro has been working to increase the profile of the field of e-learning in Italy. In this role, she has provided access to e-learning resources for the Italian member bodies of the European Institute for Learning and Teaching (EILT), Italian National Academy for Sciences and Technology (ANADT), Italian Academy of Labour and Employment (Ateneo della Repubblica Italiana), Italian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (L’Amore), Italian Association of Instructors of Technology (Aise) and Italian Association of Institutes of Technology, in order to support the growth of the Italian e-learning industry.Since her appointment, she has also been working to develop and promote the use of digital tools and methods in education in Italy. She has held workshops on the use of digital tools in education for the Italian Federation of Labour and Industry, the Italian Society for Professional Education, the Italian Academy of Labour and Employment, the Italian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Italian Association of Instructors of Technology. She also gave a keynote speech at the Italian Society of E-Learning’s summer meeting, “Digital and E-learning Tools in Education and Training”.

She has a long history of teaching and working in the field of e-learning, having started her career as a teacher at the Moscow Institute of Technology (MIT). soon after, she moved to Italy, where she taught at the Sapienza University of Rome, before taking up a position as a professor at the Milan-based Italian Academy of Education and Research (AIER). After leaving AIER, she spent a few years working as the Deputy Director of the International Development Department at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). After a year as a visiting professor at the University of Alberta in Canada, she took up a position as the Director of the Center for results-driven teaching at the University of Technology in Vienna, Austria. agata lo Tauro has also been an Associate Editor for the Journal of E-learning and Technology, a Member of the Board of Directors of the International E-learning Federation (IEF), and a visiting examiner at universities in over thirty three countries.
