Tom Prichard

As the Executive Director of Sudan Sunrise, Tom Prichard plays a pivotal role in fostering initiatives that promote education, reconciliation, and sustainable development in Sudan and South Sudan. With a deep commitment to social justice and community empowerment, Tom collaborates closely with both Sudanese and South Sudanese Christians and Muslims to cultivate projects that bridge divides and build a more harmonious future. One of his flagship initiatives, Kush State University (KSU), exemplifies this mission. Located in the Nuba Mountains, KSU is an ambitious endeavor aimed at providing higher education opportunities in a region historically underserved by educational institutions. Currently, the university boasts a diverse student body of 196 nursing students and 75 students pursuing automotive studies, reflecting Tom's dedication to addressing critical workforce needs and fostering economic development.

Tom's expertise in social entrepreneurship and philanthropy enables him to effectively mobilize resources and engage stakeholders in meaningful dialogue. His skills in volunteer recruiting and non-profit board development are instrumental in building a robust network of supporters and advocates for Sudan Sunrise's mission.
