Markus Graebig

Markus Graebig currently serves as Project Director at 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, where he leverages his extensive expertise in energy transition, strategy development, and business model innovation to support Germany’s evolving electricity grid infrastructure. In this role, Markus is instrumental in leading complex projects that facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources, ensuring a reliable and sustainable energy supply aligned with the country's climate goals. His strategic focus encompasses the development of innovative solutions for grid flexibility, digitalization, and stakeholder engagement, positioning 50Hertz at the forefront of the energy transition.

Prior to his current position, Markus made significant contributions as Project Director of the WindNODE consortium from 2017 to 2021. There, he spearheaded initiatives to demonstrate and optimize grid flexibility, enabling the realization of 100% renewable energy scenarios. His work at WindNODE involved navigating the interface of technology, business, and politics/regulation, showcasing his ability to manage cross-sector collaboration and complex stakeholder landscapes. Markus’s expertise in political communication, conflict management, and senior stakeholder management proved vital in aligning diverse interests and fostering innovative solutions for the energy industry.

With a strong foundation in strategy, consulting, and energy policy, Markus excels at translating technical and regulatory challenges into actionable strategies.
