Kevin Denness is a dedicated Project Manager at Schlumberger Land Rigs, where his commitment to thoroughness and attention to detail is paramount in ensuring the safety and efficiency of drilling operations. With extensive expertise in drilling, project engineering, and hydraulics, Kevin plays a pivotal role in overseeing complex projects that span multiple regions, including the Middle East and Australia. Currently, he is spearheading the integration of advanced skidding systems into Iraqi rigs, a project that involves meticulous planning and execution. This initiative requires not only the design and construction of specialized equipment in China but also seamless integration and operational support in Iraq, highlighting Kevin's ability to manage cross-border collaborations effectively.
In addition to his work in Iraq, Kevin is also involved in the re-start of Rig 184 in Australia, where he applies his extensive knowledge of onshore and offshore drilling operations to ensure a smooth transition back to full operational capacity. His role necessitates frequent international travel, with seven trips planned this year to provide hands-on technical support and to oversee the implementation of innovative solutions that enhance rig performance.
Kevin's skill set is further complemented by his proficiency in metal fabrication and construction, enabling him to navigate the complexities of rig design and modifications with precision. His unwavering focus on using the correct materials, parts, and personnel not only safeguards operational integrity but also fosters a culture of safety within the teams he leads. As he continues to drive key projects at Schlumberger Land Rigs, Kevin remains committed to advancing industry standards and delivering exceptional results in every endeavor.
