About John Lange

John Lange currently serves as the Media Relations Tournament Director for Women’s Midwest College Hockey (WMCH), the premier league within ACHA Women’s Division I. In this role, he leverages his extensive background in intercollegiate athletics to manage all aspects of media communications and event coordination for the league’s high-profile tournaments. His responsibilities include crafting detailed weekly recaps that highlight on-ice action, player achievements, and team performances across all eight member programs, ensuring consistent and engaging coverage for fans, media outlets, and league stakeholders. Additionally, John actively participates in monthly league-wide Zoom meetings, where he collaborates with coaches, administrators, and media personnel to strategize on promotion, social media engagement, and event logistics.

With over a decade of experience as an Assistant Sports Information Director, John has honed his skills in communication, desktop publishing, and social media graphic design—tools he employs daily to enhance the league’s visibility and fan engagement. His expertise in event planning and management ensures seamless execution of tournaments, while his proficiency in statistics and written communication helps convey compelling narratives that elevate the league’s profile. As a skilled multi-tasker, John balances multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating problem-solving abilities and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
