Gary Courts

Gary Courts currently serves as Managing Director of Alternative Energy at Dominion Energy, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic transition toward sustainable and innovative energy solutions. In this capacity, Courts oversees the development and execution of key projects within Dominion’s expanding portfolio of renewable and low-carbon energy initiatives, including Modular LNG, Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), and Power-to-Hydrogen (H2) technologies. His leadership is instrumental in advancing Dominion’s commitment to decarbonization, energy diversification, and the integration of emerging energy markets.

Under his guidance, the company has launched several high-impact projects aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing energy resilience. Courts leverages his extensive expertise in business strategy, project management, and energy infrastructure to navigate complex regulatory landscapes, forge strategic partnerships, and optimize asset management across Dominion’s midstream operations. His role involves coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment of innovative energy solutions, aligning technical development with market demands and policy frameworks.

In addition to his work in alternative energy, Courts oversees Dominion’s Oil & Gas Midstream operations, including legacy WV gathering, processing, and fractionation assets, as well as managing Dominion’s 50% stake in the Blue Racer Midstream joint venture. His comprehensive understanding of energy infrastructure, coupled with skills in mergers & acquisitions and strategic planning, enables him to drive growth and operational excellence across both traditional and emerging energy sectors.
