Faith Comising

Faith Comising currently serves as a Community Organizer at Technica, where she plays a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment for women and underrepresented genders in STEM. Her responsibilities extend beyond traditional outreach; she actively develops and manages initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the tech community. Faith leverages her technical expertise—particularly in front-end development using HTML, CSS, and Git—to create engaging digital platforms that highlight Technica’s programs and success stories. For instance, she recently led the design and implementation of a dynamic landing page to showcase fellowship projects, effectively increasing visibility and engagement among prospective members and partners.

In her role, Faith also coordinates and facilitates workshops, mentorship programs, and community events that empower underrepresented students to pursue careers in technology. Her background in computer science and her experience with project management enable her to bridge the gap between technical development and community engagement seamlessly. She is passionate about mentoring aspiring technologists, guiding them through hands-on projects such as web development and game development, which not only build technical skills but also foster confidence and leadership.

Faith’s expertise in software quality assurance and programming languages like Java and Python allows her to contribute meaningfully to collaborative projects, ensuring high standards of quality and innovation. Her leadership in organizing summer programs for incoming students demonstrates her commitment to creating pathways for underrepresented groups in STEM, making her a vital asset to Technica’s mission of diversifying the tech industry through community-driven initiatives.
