The Crisis Intervention Association of Pennsylvania was organized in 1973. It is an Organization with a broad range of members including Professionals, Physicians, Crisis Intervention Workers, Disaster Responders and people who merely have an interest in the field of Crisis Intervention or Mental Health Emergency services.
The mission of the Association is to promote and enhance quality crisis services for individuals, families and communities in Pennsylvania. The Association will provide a forum for open communication between crisis intervention providers and other mental health professionals statewide.
The Crisis Intervention Association acts as an advocate by providing a unified voice, at both the state and regional levels by participating and helping influence the development of legislation and regulations which impact crisis intervention services.
The Association strives to provide and promote opportunities for crisis intervention, education, training and annual conferences.
