Talisman Programs offers young people with learning differences exceptional opportunities to increase self-confidence, independence, motivation and social competence in a safe and nurturing environment. For over 30 years Talisman Programs have been providing exceptional programming for children with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and other learning differences in a experiential adventure camp environment. Our programs offer children opportunities to develop physical and social competence in an atmosphere that encourages and supports self-regulation and self-direction. Our activities are designed to build confidence, promote responsibility, and provide a fun and successful summer camp experience. We teach problem-solving skills and conflict resolution through our insight group discussions, modeling and practice. Our highly structured schedule and supportive staff allow campers to relax into a safe environment for building friendships and independence. Talisman's wide range of programs allows us to meet a variety of needs and interests. It also means you may find several options that are appropriate for your child. Several elements can help you narrow down the choices and compare options, including age range, diagnosis, and personal interests. Our main campus is located in the small town of Zirconia, in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, just south of Hendersonville. We are surrounded by the woodlands, close to Pisgah National Forest.
