microSTARS is a social enterprise – composed of two types of services for the self-employed and small business owners: microcredit and Small Business Development Services (SBDS). Its mission is to give the self-employed and small business entrepreneurs tools for business success. microSTARS is a place that provides business advisory and training to help local entrepreneurs grow their businesses and create new opportunities and jobs. The quality-targeted services lend a helping hand for the small business segment and strengthen the culture of entrepreneurship and boost economic growth. Target clients are micro and small businesses, including social enterprises and individuals who want to start a business. Services provided by the SBDS include, but are not limited to, assistance to small businesses in solving problems concerning operations, manufacturing, engineering, technology, personnel administration, marketing, sales, merchandising, finance, accounting, business strategy and any other discipline required for small business growth and expansion, innovation, increased productivity, management improvement, and for decreasing industry economic concentrations.
