Maui Electric Company’s mission is to provide secure, clean energy for Hawaii.
Over the years, Maui Electric Company has provided energy to the residents on the islands of Maui, Lana`i and Moloka`i. In 1968, Maui Electric Company was purchased by Hawaiian Electric Company.
The energy we use is an essential but limited resource necessary to maintaining our quality of life. In a changing world, Maui Electric Company along with its parent company, Hawaiian Electric Company, has evolved to offer more than electricity. Today, we provide energy solutions to help customers save money and use energy more efficiently. Maui Electric Company also continues to pursue the use of more renewable energy alternatives to help ensure a sustainable future for our islands.
