gBox makes a gift-giving widget that allows you to buy DRM-free music from your wishlist or your friends' wishlist. gBox's gift-giving widget allows people to create digital goods wishlists that they or their friends can gift to them and vice-versa. Users can create, manage and share their wishlist widgets on the gBox site or wherever they want to post their widget including popular social-networking sites. They can also view theirs friends' wishlists and see what gifts they have given and what gifts they have received. gBox has plans to sell DRM-free music on their site. They have struck a deal with Universal to sell DRM-free music for 99 cents per track or $9.99 an album. Engadget reported that they have struck another deal with Google to refer users to their gBox site via Google AdWords. Universal plans to pay Google for the gBox referrals. Competitors in the DRM-free space include AmieStreet , Wal Mart, eMusic , iTunes and Amazon .
