Association of Metals Processors and Distributors

The Association of Metals Processors and Distributors (AMPD) is an Affiliate of the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association (FMA). We recently merged the ASD with our Metals Processing Council to create this new affiliate group. The purpose of the AMPD is to keep its members abreast of the latest developments in the metals industry and foster a better understanding of the role between the distributor, mill, processors, and service centers. We do this through education, networking, and fundraising. The unique relationship these companies have within the core membership of FMA allows an opportunity to educate the fabricators who purchase and consume a variety of metals on the ebbs and flows of the metals market.
