Torah Tech Experience in Tel Aviv is an intensive and meaningful fusion of Torah study and professional business internships. Torah Tech offers English speaking students the world over a gap year in Israel program that includes a Rosh Yeshiva led Beit Midrash with a focus on business ethics, while also being immersed in the cutting edge business world with a full schedule of internships in Tel Aviv’s top Startup Nation companies. The program is built on the principle that many pre-college students are eager to begin building a serious professional resume, while still balancing Torah and lifestyle, before furthering their academic education. Tel Aviv as the heart of the Startup Nation is the ideal setting for this concept, being the leading tech epicenter of the world second only to Silicon Valley, and can provide students with the world-class benefits of a truly vibrant international city.
The Beit Midrash program will include traditional vibrant Torah study led by our leading Rosh Yeshiva, with an extra focus on the ethics of business. Our warm and supportive staff is committed to the spiritual growth of our students, instilling Ahavat Torah and Yirat Shamayim in their hearts. Half the week our students will be spread around the city, interning in leading Israeli companies from a wide range of professional sectors, and gaining college credits. The Torah Tech Experience will also regularly host Israeli leaders from the worlds of business, nonprofit, and politics for engaging talks, and trips around Eretz HaKodesh. Tel Aviv will be the main campus keeping our students constantly active with options for gym, krav maga army training, biking, surfing, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and relaxing time spent on the beach.
Torah Tech is an initiative of the Am Yisrael Foundation (www.AmYisrael.com), which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that launches, supports and funds initiatives that empower modern pioneering amongst Jewish young adults.

TorahTech provides a variety of internships primarily in the high-tech sector, including opportunities in software development, data analysis, digital marketing, and project management. These internships are designed to give students hands-on experience in a professional environment while allowing them to immerse themselves in Israeli culture and the study of Torah.
The TorahTech program is open to English-speaking students from around the world who are looking to take a gap year. Applicants should have a strong interest in both Torah study and gaining professional experience in a business or high-tech setting. There are no specific academic requirements, but a willingness to learn and engage with the community is essential.
The TorahTech program uniquely combines intensive Torah study with professional internships. Students participate in daily study sessions that focus on various aspects of Jewish texts and traditions, which are designed to enhance their personal growth and ethical understanding. This study is complemented by their internships, where they can apply the values and lessons learned in a real-world business context.
TorahTech offers comprehensive support to students throughout their internship experience. This includes pre-internship training, ongoing mentorship from experienced professionals, and regular check-ins to ensure students are thriving in their roles. Additionally, TorahTech provides resources for resume building, interview preparation, and networking opportunities within the Israeli high-tech industry.
Yes, many students are able to receive academic credit for their internships through TorahTech. The program can work with students and their home institutions to ensure that the internship meets the necessary criteria for credit. Students are encouraged to discuss this option with their academic advisors prior to applying.
The TorahTech program typically lasts for one academic year, with start dates in the fall and spring semesters. Each session includes a structured curriculum of Torah study alongside a tailored internship experience. Students are encouraged to apply early to secure their spot and to allow time for visa processing and other preparations.
