Humane Education, Finding Homes For 1400 Homeless Pets A Year, Saving Lives Of Pets From Euthanasia From Partner Shelters, Spay/Neuter
|
SoHumane is dedicated to finding homes for approximately 1,400 homeless pets each year. We provide a range of services including adoption programs, fostering opportunities, and community outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness about pet adoption. Our team works tirelessly to ensure that every pet receives the care and attention they need while waiting for their forever home.
SoHumane collaborates with partner shelters to rescue pets that are at risk of euthanasia. By providing these animals with a safe haven, medical care, and behavioral support, we increase their chances of being adopted. Our proactive approach includes outreach programs that educate the community about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce the number of homeless pets.
Spaying and neutering are crucial in controlling the pet population and preventing unwanted litters. SoHumane offers spay/neuter services to help reduce the number of homeless animals in our community. By ensuring that pets are spayed or neutered, we can significantly decrease the number of animals entering shelters and improve the overall health and well-being of pets.
Yes, SoHumane is committed to humane education. We offer various programs designed to teach the community about responsible pet ownership, animal welfare, and the importance of adopting pets from shelters. Our educational initiatives aim to foster a compassionate attitude towards animals and encourage community members to get involved in helping homeless pets.
There are many ways to get involved with SoHumane! You can volunteer your time at our shelter, foster a pet in need, or participate in our fundraising events. Additionally, we welcome donations to support our programs and services. Visit our website to learn more about current volunteer opportunities and how you can make a difference in the lives of homeless pets.
When you adopt a pet from SoHumane, you can expect a thorough adoption process that includes an application, an interview, and a meet-and-greet with the pet you are interested in. We ensure that each pet is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, and microchipped before going to their new home. Our staff is available to answer any questions and provide guidance to help you find the perfect companion for your family.
