ROCO is: * Houston's only resident full-sized chamber orchestra with forty select, professional musicians who enjoy making music together. * Keeping new music alive by commissioning and performing over 40 world premiere compositions in our first nine seasons. * Live streaming our concerts for free into M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and The Hallmark retirement community. * Making live classical music affordable and convenient by keeping ticket prices low and performing in multiple venues around Houston. * Bringing creative collaborations to other local organizations by partnering with: Musiqa, Inprint, Lawndale, Houston Chamber Choir, Asia Society Texas, MFAH, Houston Zoo, The Church of St. John the Divine, Gremillion & Co. Fine Art, Grace Presbyterian Church, Crighton Theatre, Sugar Land Cultural Arts Foundation, and Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. It is ROCO's mission to shape the future of classical music by energizing, modernizing, and personalizing the orchestral experience. ROCO is the most fun you can have with serious music!
