At Melbourne Theatre Company, we aim to enrich lives with understanding and empathy through the storytelling power of the finest theatre imaginable. Founded in 1953, MTC is the oldest professional theatre company in Australia and one of the largest theatre companies in the English-speaking world. We employ approximately 90 permanent staff and around 400 casuals each year, in a variety of creative and administrative departments at our Company headquarters and at Southbank Theatre, which are both located in Melbourne's Southbank cultural precinct.
