Mobile Symphony Orchestra

The Mobile Symphony has gained prominence throughout the region with more than 250 concerts, world-class guest soloists such as Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman, and an education program that serves more than 7,000 students every year. Music Director Scott Speck, was appointed to the position in 2000. His performances in London, Paris, Moscow, Beijing, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington have inspired international acclaim as a conductor of passion, intelligence and winning personality. The Mobile Symphony performs in the beautifully restored, historic Saenger Theatre in downtown Mobile. From September through May, the Symphony is heard live by more than 40,000 people.
