About Luminos Fund

Our vision is of a world where no child is ever denied the chance to learn. There are 258 million children around the world who do not know how to read or write. Children who are out of primary school are uniquely challenged to develop vital skills and keep up with educated peers over time.

Our mission is to ensure all children have equal access to joyful, foundational learning, especially those shut out of education by crisis, poverty, or discrimination. To date, we’ve helped 172,957 children get a second chance at education. Luminos currently operates classrooms in parts of Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East where students live in very challenging circumstances.
