Kaizen Communications is a mobile application provider that uses SMS as a vehicle for mobile payments and communication. Their patent pending mobile payment solution, KPay, allows consumers to make payments instantly using their mobile phone. This mobile alternative to traditional bill payment, allows users the opportunity to pay bills on-the-go by simply replying to an incoming text message. Using their P2P technology, consumers can also send and receive funds using text messaging. Initially launched as an SMS messaging company, Kaizen leveraged its technology to make SMS payments possible. Targeting various companies from many different vertical markets, they have formed partnerships with companies in the recurring payment space and the payment processor environment. Example verticals in the recurring payment space include: utilities, property management firms, cable providers, and insurance companies. Prepaid card companies and payment processors can utilize our technology for card reloads, P2P, balance inquiries and alerts. Kaizen’s technology has been embraced mainly because the technology is available for use on 99% of mobile phones, people are familiar with SMS/text technology, and it is convenient to use. Companies are able to provide value-add to consumers for very little investment with quick deployment strategies. KPay allows consumers to use multiple payment options – ACH (checking account), Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Prepaid Cards, etc.
