Intersect, Inc. is a coalition of community members representing schools, health care, faith-based organizations, and businesses that formed in 2002 to address tobacco issues within Madison County, Indiana. After several years, the coalition began to see the need to expand the focus to include alcohol and other drug prevention. The coalition obtained it’s not-for-profit status in 2004 and became incorporated in 2005. Currently, the coalition operates from two major grants, the Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Agency (ITPC) and the Federal Drug Free Communities Grant.
