HandiHelp was founded by Chris Stigas, a survivor of a life-altering spinal cord injury. He turned what most would consider a tragic experience into good by becoming an accessibility change agent, bringing together three unique facets: (a) lived experience, (b) academic training and (c) construction background - to transform the built environment into a more accessible and equitable space for all.
HandiHelp is a hands-on organization that works with stakeholders to problem solve and find actionable solutions to accessibility issues from the early stages of a construction project and right up to completion.
We consult for built, social, and cognitive environmental settings in order to create an equitable living, learning, working and play spaces.
HandiHelp is committed to accelerating accessibility across the human ecosystem.
