About HAPI Foundation

HAPI Foundation is a 501C-3 nonprofit established in 2013 that provides food, health and nutrition education, after-school homework assistance and fitness programs to youth residents in apartment communities, particularly ones found in food deserts and park-poor neighborhoods. HAPI achieves its mission by providing daily programming in on-site residential community centers, creating open spaces, fostering neighbor relationships, and building a community garden. A healthy meal is provided at every after-school class by Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) partners that feed the underserved communities supported by the United States Departments of Agriculture.

HAPI's mission is to feed and bring health and wellness education through after-school programming to the doorstep of underprivileged youth living in apartment communities across America. HAPI strives to build communities thru health and reduce the growing rates of obesity, diabetes, and other chronic diseases in the United States.
