About CompNet

The Competitiveness Research Network (CompNet) is a research network originally founded by the European System of Central Banks in 2012 to foster the debate on competitiveness and Productivity among policy institutions and researchers.

The Network produces a top standard micro-founded dataset covering productivity indicators for some 20 European countries and nine Asian countries. The dataset, now at its 7th vintage, is available to researchers at request.

Since 2017, CompNet is an independently funded and regulated network, hosted at the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH). All Members are engaged in research and policy work related to productivity and are committed to improve granular data and knowledge to understand its drivers.
