Candice Ballarin

Candice Ballarin currently serves as the ACEing Autism Program Director at Bowdoin College, where she plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission to provide tennis-based therapy and support for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). In this capacity, Candice leverages her strong organizational skills and passion for community service to coordinate adaptive tennis programs, collaborate with local families, and foster inclusive environments that promote social and motor skill development. Her background in project planning and problem solving enables her to design innovative programming tailored to meet the diverse needs of participants, ensuring impactful and sustainable interventions.

Drawing on her experience in clinical research and her keen interest in healthcare, Candice has been instrumental in integrating evidence-based practices into the program’s framework. Her expertise in data collection, program evaluation, and stakeholder engagement helps optimize the effectiveness of ACEing Autism initiatives. Additionally, her skills in observation and analytical thinking support continuous improvement efforts, ensuring that the programs remain responsive and impactful.

Beyond her leadership in ACEing Autism, Candice’s academic pursuits in Francophone studies and her involvement in Bowdoin’s Women’s Tennis Team demonstrate her dedication to both intellectual growth and teamwork. Her recent shadowing experience with anesthesiologists at Jean Causse Clinique further solidified her aspiration to pursue medicine, where her skills in clinical research, problem solving, and laboratory techniques like mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) will undoubtedly serve her well.
