I have 20 years of molecular cell biology/ pharmaceutical/ biotechnology/ informatics experience, as a biologist, sales director, scientific product trainer, marketing director, field application software scientst, and clinical research associate (CRA). Most recently, (past 5 years), I have been working with software for scientists, such as molecular signaling pathway analysis (IPA), next generation sequencing tools (Geospiza, Integromics), genetic analysis, big data analytics (Spotfire, SAS), biology and chemistry drawing tools (ChemBioDraw), electronic lab notebooks (CambridgeSoft ELN), and biology statistics in software (GraphPad Prism). I am familair with software for PC, MAC, iPad, Android and iPhone.
I studied molecular and cell biology at UC Berkeley and performed research at UCSF, so I understand the specific biology, laboratory environment (performed research for 9 years), pathway analysis, and the disease states. I understand many diseases, since I managed and marketed about 20 medications for Sanofi and Abbott Labs as a sales director, marketing manager and training director. As sales director at Sanofi, I achieved top sales achievement, nationally and internationally, with top 1% attainment in the world for sales. I am very familiar with HIPPA guidelines, hospital and private practice environments, managed care, reimbursements, medical groups, grand rounds, medical professional associations, scientific conventions, journal clubs, and co-promotions with other companies like Proctor and Gamble, UCB Pharma, Warner-Chilcot and BMS. At UCSF, I was a clinical research associate and worked with doctors, nurses and staff in Northern and Southern California on women’s cancers, specifically breast, uterine, ovarian, and cervical cancers.
I am motivated, educated and passionate about science, software, technology, and helping to conquer diseases to live better.

Recently PerkinElmer acquired exclusive rights to TIBCO Spotfire for the entire life science marketplace, completing a platform that spans from data creation and management, through to analysis and visualization. In my role, I manage the global marketing for informatics products, and co-market across other PerkinElmer business units.
